Considering University financing

I want to talk about options for universities and colleges. Many deaf people apply and attend Gallaudet University and RIT due to great programs for deaf people, but there are currently declines in enrollments because of budget cuts in vocational rehabilitation. With excessive funding cuts forcing deaf students to pay for their room, boarding, books, including flights. In my opinion, I believe all universities should be free to everyone, not limited to just deaf people, but to other people with disabilities and hearing students in order to provide more opportunities. Not only that but give the government a chance to save money and reduce taxes. For example, for those people who didn’t attend college and having low-wage pay jobs, they have to rely on food stamps which takes a lot of government money. So I think, universities should be free for everyone so they have a better job opportunities, save people’s taxes, and save the government’s money as well. I do know that some states do provide free college only for residents, like in Texas.  You need to live there for a year to apply for free tuition, but there is an issue with that. The majors they offer are so limited and towards few colleges. I was aiming for a specific university that has better major. I do hope someday that government would grant all universities to be free for everyone.
