What to Expect from the Final Year

The Dive In project is in its fifth and final year. Here is what the CATIE Center will be offering through September 30, 2026:

• Supporting participants in our Dive In program.  We filled all of the slots available for our Deaf and Coda/hearing cohorts.  
• Offering Stepping Stones courses. Each month, we will open two or three new courses that have light facilitation and are open to anyone. Our final courses will be open in May with facilitation ending in the middle of August. If you have any questions about accessing these courses in the student role, please contact catiecenter@stkate.edu. You will be able to continue to access these courses even after the end of our grant funding.  
• Sharing grant-produced resources.  The CATIE Center will be continuing to disseminate the resources created under this grant.  If you are an educator or mentor and interested in receiving copies of Stepping Stones courses, you can make a request for copies through this form.  
• Evaluating and reporting.  We will also be evaluating and reporting on the outcomes of our five-year grant.  Our funding ends on September 30, 2026.  

The Future 

The CATIE Center is exploring funding sources for future interpreter education efforts.  We are proud of our history of developing and delivering quality professional development options for interpreters and hope to continue that tradition. Since our current funding ends on September 30, 2026 and future funding has not yet been determined, we encourage any interested interpreters or educators to take advantage of our resources during this year.

Stepping Stones Courses

Looking for support as a novice interpreter?  The CATIE Center is still offering free courses through our Stepping Stones program.
